Sometimes potential clients are curious about the benefits of hiring a virtual assistant vs. hiring an in-house full-time administrative assistant.  There are many advantages to having a virtual assistant, including financial reasons!

1. Virtual assistants are only paid for the hours/tasks they work.  Full-time in-house administrative assistants may not be needed for all hours they are on the clock.  Virtual assistants are efficient and will only bill you for the tasks/time they are working.

2. Virtual assistants don't require benefits. In addition to salary, most companies will also provide full-time employees benefits such as insurance or 401k matches, which can be costly.

3. Virtual assistants have their own technology.  In-house assistants often require a phone, phone service, computer, software, printer, general technical support, electricity, etc.

4. Virtual assistants don't require a dedicated desk or office space. Office spaces can be expensive and there's usually limited space for all employees.  There's also a greater chance for sensitive conversations to be overheard in an office setting or sensitive information to be seen on a screen.

5. Virtual assistants are found nationwide. By selecting a virtual assistant instead of someone expected to be at the office, you have a wider talent pool to choose from.
